Carrier for flight.

Choosing the right air crate for your pet is crucial for their safety and comfort during international air travel. It must meet International Air Transport Association (IATA) guidelines to ensure they are allowed on the flight. These guidelines are in place for the wellbeing of your pet.

Make sure the crate is the correct size for your pet, allowing them to stand, turn, and lay down comfortably. Measure your pet to determine the appropriate crate size.

A: Length of the dog from nose to tail
B: Height of the dog from ground to elbow joint
C: Width of the dog’s shoulders
D: Height of the dog from top point of head (including ears) to ground

These measurements help determine the correct-sized crate for international travel. The crate length should be A+B, the width should be C+1in x 2, and the height should be D+3in. Rigid plastic crates are recommended and widely used. The crate should have a solid, leak-proof floor. Ventilation on all three sides is necessary, and the inside of the crate should be smooth with no sharp edges. The door should be metal with a secure locking system and should not have jagged surfaces that could harm the pet. We recommend using screws made of metal.

Use an absorbent pet pad in the crate for comfort. Include a familiar scent with an old blanket. Avoid hard toys and accessories.
